Rich Granger is Managing Director, Workforce Development at DriveOhio, the state government's one-stop shop to develop, test and deploy advanced mobility solutions across Ohio. He works with public and private partners including government, industry and educators to accelerate and launch a portfolio of workforce development programs that will prepare Ohio's existing and emerging workforce for the future of smart mobility. Granger graduated from The Ohio State University, where he received his MBA, BS and MS.

A UC graduate and Cincinnati native, Jenifer Moore is an accomplished communications and public relations professional with more than six years’ expertise developing and executing all aspects of public outreach campaigns to increase media exposure and support strategic marketing initiatives. She currently serves as the Senior Public Affairs Specialist at AAA Allied Group, as well as a public speaker. 

Greg Hand was the Associate Vice President for public relations at the University of Cincinnati up until retirement in 2014. He has been associated with the university since 1978 in various capacities, including editor of the faculty/staff newspaper, science writer, news bureau manager, university spokesperson and public relations instructor. He is a 1974 graduate of the university's McMicken College of Arts & Sciences.  An amateur paleontologist, he is a member of the Dry Dredgers, the oldest amateur fossil collecting club in the U.S. An amateur astronomer, he serves on the board of the Cincinnati Observatory Center. Before his employment by the University of Cincinnati, Hand was a reporter and editor for several weekly newspapers, including the Western Hills Press in Cincinnati. He is co-author, with Kevin Grace, of The University of Cincinnati, a pictorial history of the university, and Bearcats! The Story of Basketball at the University of Cincinnati.

Jess Kropczynski, PhD is an Assistant Professor at the School of Information Technology at the University of Cincinnati. Her research is primarily in the design and evaluation of civic technology to support collective action in community networks. She has also worked with local and state governments to assess communication and information needs of target audiences in order to promote informed decision-making.

Anjanette Wells, PhD, comes to UC from Washington University in St. Louis and will serve as an assistant professor in the school. Her research focuses on psychosocial cancer adherence. She has developed a qualitative research technique that allows her to understand and better address adherence among low-income minority communities. Her research has developed into multiple trainings that she conducts for professional health care workers in order to help improve patient adherence to cancer control recommendations and guidelines.

Our group has an interest in Membrane Biophysics (Single-vesicle study of SNARE-mediated membrane fusion; Single-molecule analysis of protein conformational change in membrane environment (membrane property change induced by protein) and Nanotechnology (nanoparticle structures for biomedical detection).

Andrew Czaja is an assistant professor at the University of Cincinnati in the Department of Geology specializing in Precambrian Paleobiology, Biogeochemistry, and Astrobiology. He is interested in learning everything I can about the origin and evolution of the earliest life on Earth, namely bacteria, cyanobacteria, archaea, and their distant relatives. He goes about studying fossils of these groups via standard microscopy, as well as confocal laser scanning microscopy and Raman spectroscopy.

David Lentz's primary research interests are in paleoethnobotany and paleoecology. He has conducted field research in many areas of North America, studying indigenous groups in Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, Mexico and El Salvador, as well as in the southwestern and southeastern US. To develop a greater understanding of how early cultures manipulated their environment through their agricultural and other land-use practices, he has examined the way in which indigenous people, including the Jicaque, Paya and the Kekchi-Maya, use plants. Much of his work has focused on the archaeobotany of the ancient Maya and Olmec, studying the differences in dietary habits among groups of varying economic status. Currently, he is investigating the land use practices of the ancient Maya at Tikal in Guatemala. He welcomes students interested in pursuing compatible research projects.

Mr. Day is a Senior Instructional Technologist in the Center for Excellence in eLearning (CEeL) at the University of Cincinnati (UC). He serves as an eLearning consultant, partnering with colleges and units to improve student outcomes thru the suite of University supported eLearning tools (Canopy Suite). Develops and maintains mobile device programs.
